About:

Yasmin began her degree in Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham in 2022. As part of her degree, she completed a 12-month industrial placement in the Structural and Biophysical Sciences team at GSK Stevenage. Throughout the year, she focused on hit qualification using biophysical techniques, including surface plasmon resonance and mass photometry.

Her scientific interests lie in protein science, with a particular motivation to pursue research that can positively impact global health. To build on this interest, she joined the Jagtap group for her Master’s project to gain expertise in structural biology and valuable research experience. Through this, she aims to strengthen her foundation in biochemistry by integrating structural and mechanistic insights to address key biological questions.
